Thumbs up Serious Sinkie MILF's Restrictive Order Allowed To Lapse!

An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has allowed the Restriction Order (RO) imposed upon a Singaporean former member of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) militant group, to lapse.

In a press release issue on Thursday (29 June), the MHA said that the RO imposed on Abdul Majid Kunji Mohamad was allowed to lapse in June this year.

Abdul Majid had been detained under the Internal Security Act in June 2011. He was found to have undergone “military training at the MILF’s Camp Abu Bakar in Mindanao, and “aided the MILF in procuring funds and weapons component”.

The release added that Abdul Majid was released from detention and issued with an RO on 17 June 2013.

“While on RO, he was cooperative and responsive to rehabilitation efforts. As such, he no longer requires RO supervision,” the release said.

Those issued with an RO must abide by a number of restrictions, including not being allowed to change residence or employment, or travel out of Singapore, without the prior approval of the director of the Internal Security Department.

They also cannot issue public statements, nor can they hold office in or be a member of any organisation without similar approval.
