Google cardboard style is the cheapest, but head tracking performance using internal phone sensors may not be as good as having separate sensors. These are all the cheap ones where you just put your phone into it.
If you already own a compatible Samsung phone, Gear VR is the cheapest way to get better performance. It has independent head tracking.
Next level is Oculus, but that is very expensive plus you need a very expensive computer to power it. Not worth it yet, and it doesn't help much for stationary porn.
