Anyone had Balanoposthitis before?
 

Hi,

Just to check if anyone has balanoposthitis before?

How long did it last until it is fully cured? Is there any over the counter cream that helps to relive the foreskin inflammation?

You really need to be careful on treatment -- if it is just a short term irritaion then often times related to hygiene etc - a good swimming or shlorine pool swim (soak) each day and avoid soaps etc will help a lot.

Need to look at the reason yu got it (important)

BEWARE of using any type of Steroid (even though doctors love giving it out) .. look up steroid damage to skin online

IF you remove the underlying reasons (hygiene/diabetes/over irritation from soaps/ wanking etc) it will clear up .. also a mild antifungal will help .. but aware that usually they contain hydrocostisone (Zarin does not)

Wash with diluted dettol. Cheap and effective :p

Agree lah ... see doctor best. Rule out other STDs

Balanitis in short? Take it you are not circumcised. It's not uncommon for uncircumcised. Being circumcised will eradicate this problem forever. Believe it or not.
A specialist told me, you never see this in Malays. Because they are all circumcised.
So, will be a life long problem, come & go every few years.
Medication is Augmentin 1g 2 times daily for 7days.
Forget about the cream, messy & slow healing.
Do consider circumcision.

just use mouthwash on it. kills bacteria.

next day will be good again.

I get this often… and was thinking if I should just go for circumcision
