Please remember it only reduces the risk. and it is not a foolproof method.

it's not worth a lifetime of trauma and pain for a moment of pleasure. take that as bullshit but i know of a few people who already felt this way after contracting this illness....

Garlic
According to James Duker, PH. D author of The Green Pharmacy, garlic is murder on virus. In particular, test-tube studies show that the pungent herb can kill both oral and gentital herpes. Rather than not reek? Keep a bottle of garlic supplement at hand; two tablets gives you a potent does of garlic with out the the knockout breath. Take two tables three times a day until the flare-up dissapears.

Bro...I'm not sure if I'm infected yet...and I guess I'll only know by observing and monitoring for whatever symptoms and go for TSST test at the 7th week of exposure....

For many years I only have massage and HJ at the most....but yesterday the tragedy happens....I had a massage girl perform oral sex on me with condom in the hotel room. But her skills is so bad, can feel her teeth against my penis causing slight pain so I could not cum. Then I asked her to masturbate herself while I took off the condom and masturbate myself.

All this while she doesn't want to take off her panty but slip her hand into her panty to rub her clitoris. I was finding it weird so I pulled down her panty and saw alot of red small bumps (more than 10 at least) that looks like pimples scattered around her pubic area just outside of her vaginal entrance. These red bumps looks like blisters also.

I was in a state of shocked having recognize the symptoms to be genital herpes, and I stop my masturbation immediately, not knowing what to do, just staring at her outbreak. Then she immediately grab my penis with her right hand (that she used to masturbate herself) that had came in contact with the red bumps. By instinct I quickly moved away but for that 1 seconds, skin contact have been made.

I have been worrying for the entire night and pulling my hair out with these question below....so in the middle of the night I was going crazy, and so went to see a 24hrs clinic in this foreign city and relate to the doctor my story. He told me not to worry because chances of me getting STD is slim because no intercourse. What kind of rationale is that??!! It seems my knowledge on STD is better than him....and he charges me an equivalent of SGD240 bucks for the consultation....so off I went back to my hotel and still worrying...

1) Even if I get back to singapore and went to DSC, the blood test is still not accurate unless I WAIT for an outbreak and do a swap test, right? Or WAIT for the 7th week of exposure to do the TSST test, right?

2) Is it possible for a person to be infected with Herpes Type 1 and type 2 at the same time?

3) Eventhough she used condom while giving me oral sex but if she has HSV type 1 infection, she can still transmit this virus to me via the oral sex, because the condom could not protect the other pubic area that are uncovered and that may have come in contact with her saliva, am I right? What is the risk in this situation?

4) Since her hand which she used to masturbate herself comes in contact with the herpes outbreak (red bumps) and she used that hand to hold my penis (without condom) for that 1 second before I quickly moved away, what is the risk of me getting infected with HSV type 2 virus?...

5) Since the exposure date is 17th June (yesterday), to get an accurate result from Type-Specific Serological Tests (TSST), am I right to say the best dates to visit DSC for this test is between 7th - 11th August?

6) How many days after exposure will the 1st outbreak occurs? The worst fear is to have no symptom but already caught the virus...

One wrong decision has ruined my entire life....

Re: All you need to know about Genital Herpes

This sounds scary...even toilet seat also can spread...
...

http://www.herpes.com/genitalinfo.shtml

FACTS ABOUT GENITAL HERPES:

Transmission is caused by close oral, anal, or genital contact, including intercourse, masturbation, kissing, or any direct skin-to-skin contact which allows for the transfer of bodily fluids.

A person is considered contagious when prodromal symptoms, active sores, and healing lesions are present.

Herpes is potentially contagious when no symptoms are present. That is, a person who has genital herpes is potentially always shedding active virus.

Approximately 1 in 6 members of the general infected population is thought to shed active virus occasionally without symptoms.

Some people do not get typical blister-like sores but harbor active virus in their saliva, vaginal, or penile secretions, and can shed the virus without knowing they have herpes.

Lesions can occur deep inside the vagina where they cannot be seen or felt, but can readily transmit the virus.

An uninfected individual has about a 75% chance of contracting herpes during intimate contact with someone actively shedding virus.

Oral herpes can be transmitted to the genitals, and vice versa. Symptoms are similar.

Auto-inoculation: An infected individual can spread the virus to other parts of his or her body by touching an area shedding virus and then touching, scratching, or rubbing another susceptible part of the body. Towels are especially conducive to this.

It is possible for a person to contract genital herpes if the partner with oral herpes performs oral sex. Oral herpes can be transmitted to the genitals, and vice versa. Symptoms are similar.

Environmental surfaces like toilet seats may be a source of contagion, but there is no evidence that this poses a real threat to the general population. Experts differ as to how long the virus can survive on its own. The primary cause of infection remains intimate contact.

Re: All you need to know about Genital Herpes

bro.. did u really see the blisters? was her pussy shaved? it's common to see tiny red bumps on a shaved pussy.. and did u wash yourself immediately after that???

when a person becomes infected with herpes for the first time, the symptoms will normally appear within 2 to 12 days.. thus you should see some symptoms by now..as for the blood test..antibodies take time to develop following initial exposure to a virus and for HSV-1 and 2 this is normally up to 3 months..

the primary difference between the two types is their “site of preference” when establishing latency in the body. HSV 1 usually establishes latency in the trigeminal ganglion, a collection of nerve cells found near the ears. Recurring outbreaks will generally occur around the mouth or facial region. HSV 2 usually establishes latency in the sacral ganglion, a collection of nerves found at the lower base of the spine. HSV-2 recurring outbreaks will generally occur in the genital region.

i think your risk is low. wishing you well here and remember with proper management.. you could still live a very normal life.

hearthrob,

most importantly, DON'T get overly worried. Normally you will begin to show symptoms 1 - 2weeks if you have the virus. Unless you're Asymptomatic, means, like a carrier, bo symptom one.

No need wait until 7th week. Just go do a blood test. If you begin to feel an itch with bumps/blisters go do a swab and they will send for lab test.

Don't worry so much okay. Like big sexy say, maybe the girl shave her genital area and causes it to have red itchy bumps coz the skin is irritated coz i also kanna like that many times... So set your mind at ease, just go straight to the doc.

dear yozzzh

your ignorance regarding this illness is very apparent. It is NOT a disgusting disease, in fact, it's is a very common and widespread illness just that in this society, particularly due to our asian values, we do not talk much about it.

Sure STDS are considered a dirty disease, but remember that ANYONE can get it. Whether because they were promiscuous or not. Keep in mind there are unsuspecting and trusting people who unknowingly acquire the illnesses from people they trust. So do not be judgemental as it is very unfair.

Hey bro, sorry for the late reply. Her pussy wasn't really shaved, I think she trimmed it short but the tiny red bumps appeared around her vaginal entry area and they certainly dun look like the common bumps on shaved pussy cos' I've seen that before on gals in the past. Her's look like those in the herpes pics.

Yup, I jumped up and washed my hands immediately. Guess I'l juz got to wait for the window period to do the thorough test...:(

Jemz, thanks for the encouragement....yea until now still no symptom...if I'm a carrier that'll be worst...

how come no need to wait til 7th week? I tot the special TSST test need to wait for that window period to be accurate?....

Re: All you need to know about Genital Herpes

actually... the virus only take a very short time to show up... but maybe for the blood test there's a window period. that one i not really sure coz i never had a blood test done before for this.

don't worry so much... if you need to wait 7 weeks to do the test, wait lor.. i doubt you need the window period tho. but dont overstress yourself abt the carrier thing until results is out k.

Re: All you need to know about Genital Herpes

chance are, you did not get infected as that 1 second contact is too insignficiant....you can go DSC to do a test....they have a very specific and accurate blood test for Herpes even without presence of symptoms...tell the DSC staff you want to test specifically for herpes...
